Mike Curts is an experienced intellectual property attorney based in Michigan. He began his legal career clerking for the Ninth Circuit Court of Kalamazoo County, where he gained a deep understanding of litigation—and how best to avoid it.

Following his time with the courts, Mike worked at various law firms of different sizes and specialties, always with a consistent focus on intellectual property. With his broad background in both litigation and transactional work, he now helps clients protect their ideas and intellectual property.

Mike finds great satisfaction in helping clients bring their ideas to life, which led him to specialize in patent prosecution in 2019. His work spans from patenting simple watch protector inventions to complex automated in vitro fertilization selection machines.

He has also supported the sale of eCommerce businesses with transactions exceeding $10 million. In addition, Mike has advised businesses on protecting their intellectual property assets or strategically licensing them to maximize value.
